Enhanced Graphics Adaptor(EGA) extension cable. EGA cables are used for older computers or graphics card with a 9 pin configuration. The pinouts are configured straight through so could also be used as serial cables.

Plugging into the common PC serial port (9 D), the AT modem style cables are wired as follows; 1-8, 2-3, 3-2, 4-20, 5-7, 6-6, 7-4, 8-5, 9-22. The XT cables are wired on a straight through configuration with pins 1- 8, 11, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23 & 25 connected.
