The ET91000LC2 1000 Mbps Gigabit Multimode Fiber Media Converter (LC, 550m) lets you extend a Gigabit Ethernet network over multimode fiber, at distances up to 550m (1804 ft). A cost-effective solution for connecting a Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) network to remote network segments over a (1000Base-LX/SX) fiber backbone, this GbE to MM fiber converter supports full Gigabit speeds for ideal network performance and scalability. Designed to offer a durable and convenient Ethernet-to-fiber solution, the Ethernet to LC Fiber converter features an all-steel chassis, and a simple plug-and-play installation with minimal configuration required. Extended Networks
The Allied Telesis Industrial Media Converter (IMC) Series is designed to extend the distance of a network by converting data between twisted pair cabling and multi-mode or singlemode fiber-optic cabling. The IMC100 features a 100FX fixed SC fiber port, while the IMC1000 features an SFP port for maximum flexibility. VLAN Support Many new backbone switch products now support the industry-standard IEEE 802.1Q specification for Virtual LANs (VLANs) that send extra-long data packets on the network. IMC Series switches are fully compatible with these long packets, enabling them to be used in modern networks. Switches not supporting this feature will discard these extra-long packets, making them unsuitable for modern networks. Small and Flexible The small size and dual external power supply inputs of the IMC Series allows them to be used almost anywhere in harsh environmental conditions. Additionally, they can be mounted both on DIN rail (EN50022) or by wall-mount, allowing users to deploy any mix of network conversions required. |
